The Utrecht sofa is a reinterpretation of the famous armchair designed in 1935 by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld. Cassina reissued the line, leaving the original design unchanged, to meet the demand for a mass-produced chair. Emblematic of the Neoplastic movement, known as De Stijl, Utrecht has been revisited with new proportions to meet contemporary ergonomic needs. The Utrecht sofa is available with blanket stitching or zigzag stitching, both in five colors.
