A bookcase with simple, essential lines, designed by Vico Magistretti after a long analysis and interpretation of the constituent elements of the classic bookcase with sides and shelves. A design icon but also a true constructive invention, in which the diagonal braces become load-bearing elements and supports for the shelves, allowing the sides to be eliminated. Its foldable structure, which can also be used as a room divider, gives a central role to the hinges and supports six shelves. Its elegant and primary aesthetics, timeless and easy to read, have made it an undisputed icon since 1977, imitated on several occasions as an example of simplified function through the play of shapes.
