Cassina Tre Pezzi Armchair

Reissued by Cassina, Tre Pezzi is the armchair designed by Franco Albini in tandem with his long-time collaborator Franca Helg, who worked alongside him in revisiting the classic bergère. As its name suggests, the Tre Pezzi armchair is composed of three separate elements: the deep seat, the lumbar support ring, and the crescent-shaped headrest. Enveloping shapes but well defined in their geometry, fully satisfying the relationship between form and function, between stylistic consistency and comfort. The structure is made of tubular metal, inspired by scaffolding tubes and the handrails of the Milan subway (also designed by Albini and Helg): a feature that can be seen in the lateral curvature of the armrest. Tre Pezzi is a contemporary armchair with urban appeal.
