The Indochine swivel chair with four legs was designed in 1943 by Charlotte Perriand in Vietnam, using materials and craft techniques available during the war. An adaptation of the 7 Fauteuil tournant metal tube chair (1927), Cassina's Indochine is made of solid walnut or black-stained ash wood. The feet of Indochine are made of plastic. The backrest is padded with CFC-free polyurethane foam and the seat with CFC-free polyurethane foam and polyester wadding, making Cassina's Indochine chair comfortable and welcoming.
