Sampei is a lamp designed by Davide Groppi, which won the 23rd ADI Compasso d’Oro Award in 2014 and the Elle Deco International Design Award in 2011. Sampei is a special design, as surprisingly simple as it is extraordinary, because it is an authentic ready-made created from a flexible fishing rod. A delicate and elegant form, reminiscent of ephemeral willow branches or bamboo stalks swaying in a gentle breeze.
Sampei invites you to look up, to use light as a hook, and to marvel at such lightness. Light is the fisherman’s line, ready to capture faces, glances, and people. Available in four different heights and also in an outdoor version.
