Molteni&C Gio Ponti D.847.1 Desk
The console desk D.847.1 is a project by Gio Ponti from 1947, reissued by Molteni & C to celebrate the master in the Heritage Collection in collaboration with the Gio Ponti Archives. The piece of furniture faithfully reproduces the original project of the Milanese architect, thanks to the careful study of drawings and photos found in the archive.
D.847.1 brings back a masterpiece with the appearance of the area of an airplane, which is characterized by the top with curved ends and by the meticulous processing of the solid wood. To complete the furniture, which can be inserted in an entrance, in a living room or in a bedroom given the versatility of use, is the small drawer with rounded front, the stylistic feature of Gio Ponti's projects.
