684 is the armchair designed by Mario Bellini for Cassina in 1973. Initially called Le Tentazioni, the armchair was intended to offer an alternative to the more formal classic models with rigid, vertical seats. Originally, the upholstery was not just a cover, but an expression of an interdependent relationship with the internal structure, which determines the behavior of the material and its primary function of containment. Over the years, the evolution of construction techniques has allowed the company to update the design with a view to increasing comfort while maintaining the same proportions. The armchair has a metal supporting structure and polyurethane padding. Available in removable fabric or leather.
